Ski boot and outdoor footwear group Scarpa has announced a new business development plan, saying it will invest €12 million in sustainability, innovation and global expansion.

Group president, Sandro Parisotto, said Scarpa intended to set out growth objectives for the next few years. He said productivity would increase and that the group will create “new virtuous business models”.

Mr Parisotto said responsibility towards employees and respect for the communities around its headquarters in Asolo, northern Italy, as well as towards consumers, were important parts of “embracing sustainability”.
