Changes to the team running ISPO events
Exhibition organiser Messe München has announced a reorganisation of the team that runs the ISPO group of events.
It announced towards the end of last year that, from now on, ISPO Munich will run in November each year, with OutDoor by ISPO running at the end of May or beginning of June.
It has now said that Tobias Gröber, who used to be a director of the ISPO Group but moved to become head of Messe München’s consumer goods business unit, will return as head of the ISPO Group. He will run the ISPO shows in parallel with his corporate role.
Lena Haushofer will work with him as project director. Ms Haushofer has worked at Messe München since 2011 but said that, as a keen ultra-trail runner, she looked forward to contributing her passion for sport as well as her professional experience.
“We have laid the foundation for realigning ISPO and hence for a successful future,” said Messe München chief executive, Klaus Dittrich.
He explained that the team was already working to help exhibitors and prepare for the next OutDoor by ISPO (June 12-14) and the next ISPO Munich (November 28-30).
