Performance material solutions developer Texon will present a new material at the Lineapelle exhibition in Milan (February 22-24) before making it available to the market from April onwards.

It described the new product, Texon Verde, as being suitable for use in accessories and home textiles. It has a high proportion (up to 90%) of bio-based content, cellulosic material deriving from wood pulp, plant-based binders and natural pigments.

It said the resulting material is lightweight, easy to handle, easy to clean and with a good level of tear-resistance.
