The price of some BASF plastic additives rises by 35%

Effective immediately, BASF has announced a substantial increase in price for antioxidants Irganox 1076, Irganox PS 802 and related blends in its additives portfolio for plastic applications.

These products will now rise in price, globally, by up to 35%.

“The price adjustment is in response to significantly higher costs for stearyl alcohol and logistics,” the company said.

BASF’s product portfolio includes additives that make polymers and applications easier to process. These include fibres, films and moulded articles.
