Rieter completes the acquisition of three Saurer businesses

Textile machinery developer Rieter announced on April 1 that it had completed the acquisition of the last of the three businesses it bought from Dutch group Saurer.

It announced its intention to buy these businesses in August and completed the purchase of the first two before the end of 2021. However, it has taken until now to put the finishing touches to its acquisition of automatic winding machine business Schalfhorst.

Rieter said this would “further improve an already strong position” in the staple fibre market segment.
