French technical textiles manufacturer Alpex Protection has acquired Italian company NT Majocchi, a Como-based developer of performance textile solutions for high-end sports and work apparel.

Independent management company InnovaFonds acquired a majority stake in Alpex, which specialises in laminated fabrics and waterproof, breathable membranes, in October.

Alpex said it wanted the acquisition of NT Majocchi to help it become a leader in the European market through adding to its capacity for innovation, production and sales.
