Infrastructure now in place for growth, OrganoClick says

Functional materials developer OrganoClick has reported revenues for 2021 of €10.75 million, growth of 14.1% compared to the previous year.

Founded in 2006 as a commercial spin-off company based on research carried out at Stockholm University and the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences, OrganoClick has specialised in using biomimetics to develop functionality such as water-repellency without fluorocarbons or plastic-based fibres.

More recently it has won considerable business by supplying biobased binders for nonwovens, allowing manufacturers and brands to replace plastic-based binders in these products.

In the last two years, it has increased its production capacity and expanded its sales organisation and says it now has the infrastructure in place “to sustain significant sales growth”.
