Polyamide investment in China
Belgium-based polymers producer Domo Chemicals has announced a long-term investment in its polyamide production capacity in China.
Domo acquired Solvay’s polyamide business in 2020 and has sold high-performance polyamides under the Technyl brand name since February 2022.
To meet increasing demand, it has expanded production capacity at its site in Jiaxing, Zhejiang Province, in China to 14,000 tonnes per annum from April onwards.
In addition, it aims to complete the production of a new at nearby Haiyan by the third quarter of next year. It will have a capacity of 35,000-tonnes per year.
