Leopards and zebras inspire limited-edition Salomon shoes
Outdoor brand Salomon has adapted two of the designs in its current footwear range to provide a limited-edition release for specialist, Canadian running gear brand Ciele Athletics.
The products in question are the Pulsar Trail Pro and the Phantasm road shoe. Both are equipped with Salomon’s proprietary Energy Blade technology, which reduces energy loss and gives runners extra spring.
In the Pulsar Trail Pro, the Energy Blade plate is made of TPU, while in the Phantasm it is constructed from polyamide and fibre glass.
Each has a visual appearance that owes something to Ciele Athletics aesthetic. The trail shoe comes in vibrant colours with black stripes, which the Canadian company has based on the markings of a zebra. The road shoe (pictured) has black-fused-with-red markings on a white background, reminiscent of a leopard, it has explained.
Both styles go on sale on May 12.
