Q1 revenues up for Under Armour despite ‘uncertain marketplace’
Sports brand Under Armour has reported revenues of $1.3 billion for the first quarter of 2022, an increase of 3% compared to the same quarter in 2021.
Sales in North America brought in $840 million, up by 4%, while other markets contributed more than $450 million, up by 1%.
Within that international business, there was 18% growth year on year in Europe, while sales in Asia were down by 14%.
The brand brought in $877 million from sales of apparel, up by 8%; its footwear sales contributed almost $300 million, down by 4%.
Chief executive, Patrik Fisk, said: “We are continuing to serve the needs of athletes amid an increasingly uncertain marketplace.”
