The adidas running shoe for taking things slowly
Sports group adidas has launched a new version of its Adistar running shoe, the CS. This version has more cushioning and support, the company has said, to help runners “explore their distance potential”. CS stands for ‘cushioned support’.
The shoe has a dual-density midsole, a six-millimetre drop from heel to toe, rocker geometry, and an internal upper support cage. A long, curve-shaped angle across the forefoot creates what adidas has called “a smooth, consistent rocking motion” that will help push runners on.
Global product manager for running footwear, Niklas Nester, said at the launch: “Sport isn’t all about speed. The increased support and stability of the Adistar CS are ideal features for those trying to perfect their long-distance runs, as well as runners looking to recover their bodies and minds with a slower-paced session.”
