Strong recovery in stores drives Inditex growth
Fast fashion group Inditex has reported revenues of more than €6.7 billion for the first quarter of its current business year, the period from February-April 2022. This represents growth of 36% compared to the same quarter a year ago.
Inditex said it had seen a strong recovery in footfall in the stores run worldwide by its brands, the most famous of which is Zara.
Óscar García Maceiras, who took over as the group’s chief executive at the end of 2021, attributed the results to the strength of Inditex’s business model and the solid performance of its creative, commercial and production teams.
