Rieter has an order backlog of more than €2 billion

19/07/2022

Spinning technology developer Rieter has reported sales revenues of more than €650 million for the first half of 2022, but the Swiss company says it has an order backlog of more than €2 billion.

Largest order intakes have come from India, Turkey, China, Uzbekistan, and Pakistan.
Rieter said its earnings for the six-month period were down by €25 million owing to “significant cost increases, additional costs, and acquisition-related expenses”.

The company has announced it will sell all of the remaining land it owns, around 75,000 square-metres, at its traditional headquarters in Winterthur.
