Twenty-first century take on 1988 adidas squash shoe

Menswear designer Craig Green has worked with adidas on a shoe for squash players. The CG Squash Polta AKH will be part of the adidas Originals offering.

The design pays tribute to a 1988 adidas squash shoe, but also pays tribute to the twenty-first century, using a transparent mesh upper, exposing the shoe’s integral layers. There is a transparent upper, plus also a cutaway outsole to show the foam midsole.

Craig Green has even created new laces for the shoe, combining three fine laces that are joined together at the tip, evoking adidas’s three stripes.
