Sports footwear and clothing retail group JD Sports has said that its sales revenues in the first five months of its current financial year, the period from February to June 2022, are 5% up on the same period a year earlier.

Full-year revenues for the year ending January 2022 were more than £8.5 billion, a record figure for the group.

In a trading update JD Sports published on July 22, it said results in the first five months of this year make it confident full-year results for the period ending January 2023 will be in line with this.
