Brazilian sprinter Vitória Rosa celebrated becoming an official Puma athlete by breaking a continental record in her first race wearing the brand’s equipment.

At the World Athletics Championships at Eugene, Oregon, in July, Ms Rosa broke the South American 200-metres record with a time of 22.47 seconds. The previous record had stood for 11 years.

Puma picked Vitória Rosa as a sponsored athlete following a partnership it set up recently with the Brazilian Athletics Confederation, which will be in place until after the 2024 Olympics in Paris.
