Cyber incident hurts HanesBrands’ results
Clothing group HanesBrands has reported revenues of just over $3 billion for the first six months of 2022, a decline of 5.2% year on year.
It said its results were impacted by a “cyber event” that had temporarily affected its global supply chain network and limited its ability to fulfill customer orders. It said this disruption had lasted for approximately three weeks, but added that it “believes the cyber event has been contained”.
HanesBrands, the parent group of sports brand Champion, said there was no ongoing operational impact on the company’s ability to provide its products and services to customers, but it estimated this event had impacted its revenues by approximately $100 million.
