Digital product passport developer raises €11m from backers
Software provider and digital product passport developer Circularise has secured €11 million in funding and has said it will use the money to advance its mission “to bring a circular economy to industrial supply chains”.
This capital injection included grants from the European Commission but Japanese chemical company Asahi Kasei was also one of the backers.
Netherlands-based Circularise aims to use blockchain technology to develop digital product passports to enable customers to improve resource use, verify provenance, conduct carbon footprint calculations and impact assessments across supply chains.
It has said these digital product passports will be especially relevant in complex supply chains including those of chemicals, plastics and critical raw materials.
