Orthopaedic insoles can benefit from Elastollan, BASF says
Materials developer BASF has said its Elastollan thermoplastic polyurethane can work particularly well in orthopaedic insoles.
It said the material demonstrates a high level of vibration damping and resilience and inserts made from Elastollan will retain their properties even in fluctuating temperatures.
In orthopaedic insoles, it said the material can support the entire skeleton. And in sports shoes it can provide special load cushioning and support.
