Allergen-control idea on show at Heimtextil

Belgian textile innovator Devan Chemicals is preparing to launch a biobased and readily biodegradable allergen control technology. It will present the product, Purissimo NTL, at the Heimtextil exhibition in Frankfurt, which runs from January 10-13.
It explained that the product is based on probiotic encapsulation technology and can be applied to textiles during the finishing stage of the textile manufacturing process.
Worldwide, the prevalence of allergic diseases has continued to rise in the industrialised world for more than 50 years, according to the World Health Organisation, Devan said.
