NPD accolade comes after nine years’ work, Picture says

Picture Organic Clothing has said its success in being named as winner in the apparel category of the Outdoor Sports Retail Performance Awards is the result of nine years’ hard work to make an impression on the US market.

French sports apparel brand Picture said it was delighted to have been put in the spotlight by market research firm NPD Group, the organiser of the awards. The accolades acknowledge the fastest-growing brands in the outdoor and snow specialty retail markets in the US, based on in-store and e-commerce sales revenues.

Co-founder Julien Durant has told sportstextiles.com that Picture has been working hard for nine years to make a name for itself in the US.

He said receiving this recognition from NPD Group was a win for the entire Picture team, including two agents it has in place in North America, Marty Carrigan and Kelly Simons. “We have all worked hard to make our mark in the US,” he said, “which has meant finding the right customers there. For us, that means outdoor enthusiasts who share the same values as us and have the same end objective, fighting climate change.”

Mr Durant said the Picture Organic Team had never been more motivated than it is today to take the brand “to the next level” and he insisted that being named as the fastest-growing outdoor apparel brand in the US by NPD Group would give it “an extra injection of energy” in pursuing its ambitions.
