Nine-month figures hold steady for Under Armour
Sports brand Under Armour has posted revenues of $4.5 billion for the first nine months of its current financial year, the period from April-December 2022.
This figure represents an increase of 1.7% compared to the same period a year earlier.
Apparel remained Under Armour’s biggest source of revenue by far, bringing in just under $3 billion in the nine-month period, but this was down by 1.6% year on year. But with sales of just over $1 billion, footwear revenue increased for the brand, rising by almost 13%.
In terms of geography, sales fell slightly (by 1.5%) in North America, which is the brand’s biggest market with 65% of total revenues. There was also a decline in Asia, of 3.4%, but Under Armour achieved double-digit growth in Europe and in Latin America.
