Acquisition gives Lectra a new dimension

09/02/2023

Cutting and design technology provider Lectra has reported revenues of €521.9 million for 2022. This represents growth of 35% compared to the previous year.

This growth reflected the boost to its business that Lectra has had from the acquisition of US-based rival Gerber Technology. It completed the deal in June 2021, making its results for 2022 the first to include a full year’s worth of impact from the acquisition.

It said the Gerber acquisition had given it “a new dimension” and it plans to use this to accelerate growth.

Lectra’s aim of consolidating its position as “a key Industry 4.0 player” in fashion and two other strategic market sectors (automotive and furniture) before 2030 continues, but it now intends to draw up a new strategic roadmap for the period from 2023 to 2025.

It said the outlook for 2023 remains unpredictable “given the degraded macroeconomic and geopolitical environment”, but that its new status enables it to look ahead with confidence at its development over the medium term.
