Space at ITMA 2023 is fully booked
The European Committee of Textile Machinery Manufacturers (CEMATEX) has announced that the 220,000 square-metres of space available for its ITMA 2023 exhibition is already fully booked.
ITMA 2023 takes place in Milan from June 8-14. CEMATEX has described it as “a highly anticipated showcase of trendsetting textile and garment technologies”.
Chairman of the event organiser ITMA Services, Charles Beauduin, said textile machinery technology developers had taken up all the space available because they are optimistic about the way the market is developing.
Mr Beauduin added: “Since the last ITMA exhibition in Barcelona in 2019, the world has changed drastically due to the coronavirus pandemic and the geopolitical situation. Despite various disruptions, companies are buoyant about the outlook of the market with most borders now fully open.”
There will be more than 1,600 exhibitors from 44 countries, with 100 companies still waiting to be allocated space in their preferred sectors. There will be 20 product sectors at ITMA 2023, covering the entire textile and garment manufacturing value chain, including textile composites.
Commenting on the innovations that will be on show, CEMATEX president, Ernesto Maurer, said: “During the pandemic, many of our members channelled their resources into research and development activities. ITMA 2023 is perfectly timed to offer our exhibitors an opportunity to showcase new products and cutting-edge technology.”
