Performance foam producer Dahsheng Chemical has brought to market a new product, Dreamcell Zero, made 100% from recycled foam waste. The Taiwan-based company said the new product would help “elevate sustainability in the footwear industry”.

Dahsheng has used waste material to develop a new, proprietary polyurethane foam compound. It has said the product meets “the highest comfort and performance standards of brands and consumers”.

Chief executive, Johnson Chang, commented: “We are taking a decisive step toward the circular economy in the footwear supply chain, closing the loop on waste and creating a sustainable cycle of production and consumption.”
