Archroma CEO announces departure

Textile chemicals group Archroma has announced that its chief executive, Heike van de Kerkhof, will leave at the end of April. It said Ms van de Kerkhof had decided “to focus on other career opportunities”. She took up the role in January 2020.

Archroma will bring in Mark Garrett, who has previously held senior roles at DuPont, Ciba and other chemicals groups, to be its interim chief executive, and said its search for a new, permanent chief executive had already begun.

Chairman, Miguel Kohlmann, said Heike van de Kerkhof had been successful in “meaningfully advancing the company’s sustainability, innovation, and customer-focused business model”, while also closing the acquisition of Huntsman’s Textile Effects business earlier this year.
