Traceability technology provider Oritain has renewed its partnership with Joma Wool. The aim of the partnership is to provide scientific verification of the origin of the wool that Christchurch-based Joma Wool brings to market.

All of its wool is grown on New Zealand farms. Oritain uses forensic and data science to provide verification of this. It has analysed samples and created “an origin fingerprint” of Joma’s wool.

The partnership extension means that the company can call upon Oritain to test any of its products in the supply chain and match it to this fingerprint to ensure its integrity.
