One bath is enough with new Pulcra-Inditex system

15/06/2023

Pulcra Chemicals and fashion group Inditex have worked together to develop a pretreatment and dyeing process for cotton and polyester-cotton blends.

They have said the new system, which they have called Sustineri Coloring, can result in savings in water, time and energy.

It is based on what Pulcra has called newly engineered process chemicals that allow a one-bath pretreatment and dyeing process for dark, medium and light shades of cotton and polyester-cotton fabrics by exhaust method.

The process is already in use at selected mills and their experiences so far show reductions in pretreatment and dyeing processing time of up to 60%, with energy and water consumption down by as much as 60% and 80% respectively.
