Traceability technology provider Haelixa has received a capital injection from the Zurich Silk Association (ZSIG), an association of active and former companies in the Swiss city’s silk industry.

Haelixa’s technology provides DNA markers that enable materials to be traced from fibre through finished fabric. Co-founder Gediminas Mikutis said Haelixa was “profoundly grateful” to receive support from ZSIG. He said the silk industry body had a rich history in textiles and a strong track-record in “selecting future-proof solutions” to support.

For its part, ZSIG said it was proud to become an investor in Haelixa and said the company’s technology would deliver “a traceable fingerprint for textile industry stakeholders”.
