New sustainability report from Indorama
Fibre manufacturing group Indorama Ventures has published a new sustainability report, covering the group’s activity in 2022.
Achievements it lists in the report include a reduction of 3.8% in its overall carbon footprint. The report also gives a figure of 7.2% for the share that recycled water has in its overall water consumption. It also now has 72% of waste being diverted from landfill.
In addition, the group increased the volume of bottles it is converting into post-consumer PET by 8% in 2022, reaching more than 340,000 tonnes. Indorama said this was equal to 15.4 billion bottles.
Chief sustainability officer, Anthony Watanabe, commented: “These achievements reflect our commitment to sustainability and our determination to have a positive impact on our world.”
