EcoVadis gold medal for Perstorp
Evidence-based sustainability assessment platform EcoVadis has awarded Perstorp its gold medal.
This puts the Malmo-based chemicals manufacturer among the top 5% of companies in its sector. In the category of sustainable procurement, Perstorp is among the top 4% of chemical companies globally.
Perstop, whose products include polyesters, polyurethane, plasticisers and polymer additives, has described EcoVadis as “the standard for environmental, social and corporate governance (ESG) ratings in the chemical industry”.
Its vice-president for sustainability, Anna Berggren, said the company had received more than 100 requests from customers in recent years for details of its EcoVadis reporting. “This shows the value it brings to the value chain,” she said.
