Bangladesh clothing factories reopen after forced closure

The authorities in Bangladesh have said that more than 100 garment factories in the Savar, Ashulia, and Dhamrai districts of Dhaka reopened on November 14 after a forced closure that lasted several days.

Disputes over wages have lasted two weeks, frequently leading to violent protests. Reports say these protests have resulte in at least four fatalities. Factory closures were part of a series of measures to lower tensions.
