Apparel market conditions affect Toray textiles division
Industrial group Toray has reported revenues of just under $3.2 billion for its fibres and textiles division in the first six months of its current financial year, the period ending September 30. This is down by 5.5% compared to the same period a year earlier.
Total group revenue for the six-month period was $7.9 billion, a decline of 4.9% year on year.
Commenting on its fibres and textiles result, the group said: “Apparel applications were impacted by worsening market conditions.”
