Yarn group reports important carbon emissions reduction

Biella-based yarn manufacturing group Marchi & Fildi has said in its inaugural sustainability report that its efforts to improve its environmental performance led to important progress in its 2022 business year, the period the new report covers.

For that period, compared to 2021, the group recorded savings of 57% in water consumption and of 19% in the volume of waste water it discharged.

Also in 2022, it achieved a saving of 13% in its energy consumption.

Based on these figures, Marchi & Fildi reported a reduction of 22% in its scope-one and scope-two carbon emissions.
