Outdoor lifestyle apparel brand Royal Robbins has secured certification under the Responsible Wool Standard.

This certification allows the clothing company to offer assurance to consumers that the wool it uses comes from farms with high standards of animal welfare and land management.

“As a brand deeply rooted in the outdoors, we recognise the importance of responsible and sustainable practices,” said global brand president, Erik Burbank. “Achieving RWS certification is yet another important step in our commitment to the environment and our focus on natural and sustainable fibres.”

Royal Robbins has said that 59% of its styles will have a majority natural and bio-based fibres in their composition by autumn 2024.
