Staple fibre and filament yarn developer Eastman Naia was a participant at, and sponsor of, the Sustainable Talks Istanbul event on November 28.

The company described host country, Turkey, as one of the key markets for the global textile industry and went on to list more than 25 Turkish mills with which it is already working.

At the conference, its head of global business development, Ana Costa, contributed to a discussion on next-generation fibres.

She talked to the audience about Naia Renew fibre and the patented molecular recycling technology behind it. It is produced from 60% sustainably sourced wood pulp and 40% certified waste materials and is available at scale as a filament yarn and as a staple fibre. It can also be blended with other sustainable fibres
