PU innovation inspires OrthoLite appointments
Insole materials developer OrthoLite has announced two senior additions to its foam innovation team.
It has appointed Shaw Kiat Phua as its global operations chemical director. He previously held leadership roles at Huntsman, BASF and Ecco and in his new role will focus on chemical innovation, consistency and transparency for OrthoLite.
The company said Mr Phua would also be involved in setting the strategic direction for its use of polyurethane (PU) development, with a focus on sustainable innovations for the footwear market.
With this aim in mind, OrthoLite has also appointed Ha Pham, a seasoned PU specialist, to its foam innovation team. He joins from Brooks Running, where he served as global chemical engineering manager. Before that, he worked at Ecco as an advisor on PU and for BASF Vietnam as technical development manager for PU footwear systems.
