Textile and apparel start-up booster platform Techtera has said a number of textile companies in France have already been able to benefit from a wider investment programme called France 2030.

Launched in 2021, France 2030 has a budget of more than €50 billion and aims to help make key sectors of the economy function in a sustainable way.

Techtera said its member companies had already successfully bid to be part of 12 of the programme’s projects, for which funding of a combined total of almost €20 million is available.
It said six other projects are currently under review.

One of the projects, All Coat, aims to develop a high-performance, flame-retardant, flexible composite membrane that will provide durability and reducing the environmental impact of membrane technology.
