Apparel brand focuses on local benefits from carbon offsetting

Intimate apparel brand Nudea has announced an investment in carbon credits to offset its 2023 carbon footprint.

The UK-based brand will purchase UK-generated carbon credits with the aim of “channeling finance directly into projects close to home”.

Specifically, Nudea’s investment will help retrofit homes in Buckinghamshire, where the brand is based, making them warmer and more energy-efficient, helping to reduce energy bills and fight fuel poverty.

Founder and chief executive, Priya Downes commented: “We have always taken the approach of measurement and reduction as the first points of action to reduce our emissions.  However, there will always be CO2 that we can’t reduce.”
