High hopes for Teijin’s new Paris showroom
The fibres and fabrics division of Japanese group Teijin has opened a new showroom in Paris to showcase fabrics and finished products made from its fibres.
Products on display at the time of launch included textiles made from Ecopet polyester fibre, made with recycled post-consumer polyethylene terephthalate (PET). Similarly, products made from Teijin’s ultra-soft and smooth Solotex polytrimethylene terephthalate (PTT) fibre were on show.
Teijin said the showroom would also be available to serve as an exhibition venue for client brands. The exhibits will change seasonally and align to evolving customer needs.
“By opening a showroom in the fashion capital of the western world, Teijin aims to increase its presence as a fibre supplier to the French and European markets,” the company said.
It added that it also hopes to learn from its interaction with fashion brands at the showroom, “to uncover new needs and trends, which will be used to guide development of new products”.
