Relaunched F1 shoe makes its mark in Manhattan
New York-based designer Danielle Guizio has entered into a new partnership with sports group Puma.
She has created one limited-edition version of the brand’s Speedcat shoe and will launch another before 2024 is out.
Puma introduced the Speedcat in 1999 as a performance shoe design for Forumula One racing. By the mid-2000s, the shoe had become popular in the world’s of fashion and sneaker culture.
The brand decided to relaunch the shoe in June 2024 and has now worked with Ms Guizio on a very limited-edition in lime and cream, which went on sale at her flagship store in Soho on September 11.
Following this initial release, Danielle Guizio will release a second, black-and-white version at the end of the year.
