Textile machinery group Rieter has announced Alexander Özbahadir as the new head of its after sales business unit. He will join the Swiss group on January 1, replacing Rico Randegger, who will step down from the role on December 31.

Mr Özbahadir is a former chief executive of Stuttgart-based C. Haushahn GmbH, a developer of elevator and escalator technology. He has extensive experience of working in China, having been a senior vice-president of business there for another elevator technology provider, Schindler Group.
