Exhibition group Messe Frankfurt has reported that more than 100,000 visitors attended its Intertextile Shanghai event at the end of August.

It said this was an increase of 5.2% compared to the figure for the autumn edition in 2023. It also said the number of international buyers who attended the exhibition had risen by 29% year on year. 
Visitors travelled to Shanghai for the event from 115 countries and regions.

Messe Frankfurt’s general manager in Hong Kong, Wilmet Shea, said Intertextile may be “the world’s largest sourcing hub for apparel and textiles”. She added that industry players go from all parts of the world “seeking inspiration and innovation for the constantly evolving textile market”.
