Positive momentum in core businesses for BASF
Chemicals group BASF has reported revenues of €49.4 billion for the first nine months of 2024. This represents a fall of 6.8% year on year.
Its materials segment, which includes its monomers and performance materials products, achieved revenues of €10.25 billion over the nine-month period. This figure is down by 4.9% on the same period last year, but this is still the group’s biggest division.
Chairman, Dr Markus Kamieth, said: “The positive earnings momentum in our core businesses was already visible in the first half of 2024 and continued in the third quarter, driven by higher volumes and margins.”
