A busy COP29 for Indorama Ventures
Senior representatives of fibres group Indorama Ventures travelled to Azerbaijan for the COP29 United Nations Climate Change Conference. The group had a presence at the Thailand pavilion at the event.
It took the opportunity to showcase a recently achieved milestone. Between February 2011 and October 2024, the group recycled 130 billion post-consumer PET bottles.
Indorama executives also took part in a number of leadership panels at COP29. Chief sustainability officers, Anthony Watanabe, took part in a discussion about the circular economy. Head of sustainability advocacy in Europe, Ermis Panagiotopoulos (pictured, second from the left), took part in a discussion entitled ‘Future-Proofing Your Supply Chain: Mastering circularity and policy shifts for market success’.
