Helsinki prepares for bio-based clothing conference

Event organiser ACI will host its 2025 Bio-based Textiles in Clothing: Europe conference in Helsinki on January 15 and 16.

It said the conference would provide “a deep dive” into the world of bio-based textiles, examining how plants, microbes, and other organic feedstock can provide raw material for garment manufacturers.

Speakers will include the chief sustainability officer of fibre developer Spinnova, Shahriare Mahmood, the general manager for textiles at Eastman Chemical, Ruth Farrell, and the marketing director of traceability technology developer Haelixa, Holly Berger.
