A deal may be close as Invista seeks sale of Cordura
Polymers and fibres group Invista may be close to selling its Cordura business to new owners.
Invista said in an announcement in April 2024 that it planned to sell its nylon fibres business. It specified that this would include Cordura, its durable fabrics brand, plus manufacturing sites in Delaware, Virginia, Canada, the UK and China.
At the time, Invista chief executive, Francis Murphy, said: “Nylon fibres is a great business. We believe there are companies with different focus and capabilities that could create even greater value with those assets.”
People familiar with the process have suggested a buyer may come forward for Cordura and other parts of the Invista nylon fibres business in the next few months.
