It will be March before textile machinery developer Rieter gives full details of its performance in 2024, but preliminary figures show a fall of almost 40% in sales revenues compared to the previous year.

Rieter said sales for 2024 were likely to be 859.1 million Swiss francs.

It went on to say that its order-intake figures for 2024 were much more encouraging, rising by 34% to reach 725.5 million Swiss francs.

It said it had succeeded in strengthening its competitive position “in a challenging market environment”. It added that it could see “signs of an initial market recovery”.
