Issue two of Sportstextiles magazine is live

A new issue of Sportstextiles magazine, already our second of this year, is available now.

Our in-depth features this time include an article that presents thermomechanical recycling as something of an unsung hero in the battle again waste. We also air some doubts about the use of mass-balance principles in companies’ sustainability claims.

Further into this issue of the magazine, we highlight an exciting initiative that could boost added value and jobs in the African cotton sector, a footwear development that won Keen inclusion in the ‘Best Inventions’ of 2024, and work that has taken place at New Balance and Puma to increase transparency on material choices.

We close with a Dialogue exchange with Juan Cutina of Cirql, which makes it clear that a biodegradable version of the company’s midsole material was worth waiting for.
