The spring edition of Intertextile Shanghai Apparel Fabrics exhibition opened at the National Exhibition and Convention Centre on March 11.

More than 3,100 exhibitors from all parts of the world travelled to Shanghai to take part, showcasing yarns and fabrics for types of apparel, including performance, outdoor and sports clothing.

General manager of Messe Frankfurt Hong Kong, Wilmet Shea (pictured), explained that the shows main pillars summarised four of the textile industry’s key segments: fashion, functionality, sustainability and digitalisation.

“This fair is an indispensable platform for industry players to connect, exchange business and ideas, and navigate challenges and opportunities,” she said.
